The South West Mountain Bike Summer Series is back – presented by Margaret River Off Road Cycling Association and Cape Mountain Bikers.
This is grassroots mountain bike racing at its best; the aim of the game is to get out on your bike each week, meet new people, have a laugh, be stoked and then have a yarn over a burger and a refreshing beverage afterwards! Behind all the fun is a hard-fought inter-club competition between MRORCA and CMB. Each time you race you will accumulate points for your club towards the overall title. So get involved, come represent your club! If you have never taken part in a race or a formal mountain biking event before, this is the time to get involved! It’s not serious, it’s all about having fun. As before the Summer Series race format is two timed runs on beginner friendly descents, with cumulative time scored. Round 1 – Sunday 27 December 2020 – Dunsborough Mtb Park (Meelup) Round 2 – Saturday 2 January 2021 - Margaret River Round 3 – Thursday 7 January 2020 - Dunsborough Mtb Park (Meelup) Round 4 – Thursday 14 January 2020 - Margaret River Round 5 – Thursday 21 January 2020 - Lot 80 Eagle Bay (tbc) Round 6 (Humble Cup) – Thursday 28 January 2020 - Margaret River To compete you must register online for each event. WAGE rounds 1 and 2 are back as a combined event over the long weekend!
SATURDAY 29th Feb 2020 sees the field kick off Round 1 of the 2020 WA Gravity Enduro Series in Margaret River, taking refuge from the summer sun under towering trees, shralping beautifully sculptured berms and jumps and brushing off the cobwebs and opening the lungs from the summer break. SUNDAY 1st March 2020, sees Round 2 in Dunsborough for some fun (and pedally) trails to really dial things in for the year ahead. Although relatively flat, we're squeezing in as many jumps and berms as possible, plus a little bit of gnarly action out back. More info and registration here.
